The Appalachian Regional Commission has approved a $500,000 grant for the Leadership Kentucky Foundation.

Congressman Hal Rogers announced on Friday that the foundation plans to create a new leadership program for young professionals throughout Kentucky’s Appalachia corridor, called BRIGHT Kentucky.

The program will focus on those between 20 and 40 years old and designed to “innovate, collaborate and advance community and economic development through training, networks and mentors.”
