Pikeville Woman Develops Special Needs Shopping Cart

After years of unsuccessful attempts by people across the United States to get a cart for special needs children and adults into Lowe’s Home Improvement stores, a Pike County woman found success, after a personal plea to the CEO of the company. In the past two years, Cindy Moore has been successful at getting a Caroline’s Cart into more than 200 Food City stores and the Pikeville WalMart, which makes it much easier to take her special needs daughter, Lily, shopping. The Pikeville Lowe’s Is the first in the country offering the special cart.
