Thursday was the annual ‘Make-a-Wish’ day at Keeneland.Ten children, along with their families, were the guests of honor at the race track.The families got to meet the jockeys in the paddock. They also watched the races from the winner’s circle.At the end of each race, the families presented the trophies to the winners.The folks at Keeneland say they enjoy this partnership with ‘make-a-wish.’”We circle it on our calendars really early”, said Barbara Thomason, who works at Keeneland. “It’s a fabulous day to celebrate the kids, to let them be kids. their families get to come, their siblings, then all of a sudden, they’re just regular kids for a day.”Keeneland and Make-a-Wish have worked together to raise more than $500 million.
