Coal Fields Industrial Park Gets Natural Gas

Three months ago, an announcement was made that the City of Hazard was being awarded $900,000 in grant money to bring natural gas to the Coal Fields Industrial Park in Perry County.A groundbreaking ceremony held Tuesday afternoon signified the hope that county and state officials have for the impact the gas line will have on the area.In July, Representative Chris Fugate described the announcement as ‘critical’ to growing this region.
