Bank Robber From Eastern KY Sentenced

In Eastern Kentucky a man will spend more than five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to robbing a West Virginia bank. Officials say Steve Ray Meeks, 62, of Louisa, took more than $32,000 from the Community Trust Bank in Fort Gay. That’s in Wayne County. It happened 11 months ago. The day before the robbery investigators say Meeks admitted that he had approached the bank with his hood over his head and a ski mask covering his face. He said he had tried to get in after the bank had closed.
