Remembering A Basketball Coach

Monday, hundreds gathered at Lynn Camp High School for Coach Richard Jones’ funeral affectionately known as birddog. Jones died following a battle with cancer. He was the girl’s high school basketball coach. “He was a mentor, friend, and father figure to many of his players,” said Lynn Camp teacher and coach Justin Woods. Jones taught and coached at the school for more than 30 years.During his time as coach, Jones brought home countless trophies and more than 300 wins
