Woman Steals Meat To Sell At Pawn Shop
A woman is facing charges after Martin County deputies say she stole meat from two stores, then attempted to sell it at a pawn shop. Deputies arrested Karen Cornette on Wednesday.They say she first stole meat from the Inez Save-A-Lot that was priced at almost $30.Next, Cornette allegedly went to the Inez IGA where she stole two beef tenderloins, valued at more than $50.Once she had the meat, that is when deputies say Cornette went to a pawnshop in Inez where she attempted to sell it. However, the owner of IGA caught her there.Cornette faces shoplifting charges.
