KY Included In Measles Outbreak In 2019
So far in 2019, the Centers for Disease Control numbers show that the United States has hit a 27-year high in measles cases, Kentucky has not been exempt from this. Multiple people in the state have tested positive for the disease, and health officials say there are other preventable diseases that are appearing as well. Scott Lockard with the Kentucky River District Health Department says “Vaccines are safe. They’ve debunked a lot of false information about our vaccinations so you know we should be getting our vaccines for all the childhood preventable diseases,” he says.
