Hope Center Needs Donations

The Hope Center is in need of donations to help Lexington’s homeless population stay safe in this hot weather.The high temperatures increase the risk of heat illness for the homeless. The Hope Mobile tries to reach those folks. They travel to local churches, passing out water, food, and other supplies. Unfortunately, part of the Hope Center’s outreach is on hold right now their funding through a grant from the city ran out on June 30.While they await approval of a new funding proposal, they are asking for donations of deodorant, sunscreen, and bottled water to keep people safe. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter on 260 West Loudon in Lxington.
