Leakage Produces Water Outage

According to the Southern Water and Sewer District, several people in the Estill and Wayland communities of Floyd County are without water.“The affected service area right now is right outside of Wayland. It’s the part of Wayland area, Estill Bottom, Steel Creek, and Mill Creek,” said Special Projects Manager for Utilities Management Group Grondall Potter.A Facebook post from Southern Water and Sewer District said a leak located in a nearby creek caused the outage. Workers are hoping to get the leakage repaired by today.
