Possible Medicaid Changes
Legislation aimed at shaking up some inner workings of Kentucky’s Medicaid program won initial approval from a state Senate committee on Wednesday.One measure clearing the Senate Health and Welfare Committee would cut out the role of pharmacy benefit managers in handling prescription drug claims. A second bill would limit the number of managed care companies contracted by the state to handle billions of dollars in Medicaid business.
