Flooded Roads And Unclean Water
Knox County Judge Executive Mike Mitchell issued a state of emergency for the county on Thursday due to heavy flooding.”Even through last night we’ve been relocating people who have had water get up and around their house,” said Mithcell.Mitchell said that emergency crews rescued several people who tried to drive over flooded roads.One priority during this time is to get people clean water. Mudslides have affected local water services.”We’ve been securing water to people today to help them until water service gets reinstalled,” said Judge Executive Mitchell.Some parts of town have been evacuated as high water levels reached some homes.
