Naming The News Children’s Hospital

The new Children’s Hospital under construction at Pikeville Medical Center will be named for a couple and their life-long love of medicine, the hospital and the community.Thanks to a generous donation to Pikeville Medical Center Foundation for Quality Healthcare from longtime PMC physicians Drs. R.V. and Jyothi Mettu, the hospital now bears the name “The Dr. R.V. and Jyothi Mettu Children’s Hospital.Construction on the facility, the only one that will serve Southeastern Kentucky, began earlier this year and is expected to be completed in early 2022.
