Appalachian Regional Healthcare Limits Visitors

In a news release Appalachian Regional Healthcare has announced that beginning Friday, July 31, there will be no regular visitation permitted at ARH hospitals. The change comes due to a steady increase in COVID-19 cases and out of an abundance of caution. There are three exceptions to the rule. Patients at the end of life are permitted to have two visitors, pediatric patients under 18 years of age are permitted one responsible adult and maternity patients are allowed one designated support person for labor, delivery and duration of the mother’s hospital stay. This one designated person is deemed the support person throughout the mother’s stay.
