Ashland’s 12th Street Bridge Still Closed

A bridge that connects Ohio to Kentucky and is traveled by thousands of drivers every day will stay closed for construction for a couple more days due to the weather.Ashland’s 12th Street bridge (the green bridge) is expected to reopen Sunday — still about two weeks ahead of schedule, Kentucky Department of Highways District 9 officials say.Earlier this week, contractors said the bridge would reopen Friday, but because of unfavorable humidity, weather, and scheduling issues, crews say it is impossible to properly paint new traffic markings.
