Boy Killed By Dogs

Kentucky State Police at the Hazard Post have announced that they believe a pack of dogs was responsible for the death of a Knott County teenager earlier this year.Troopers responded to a residence on Montgomery Creek Road in the Emmalena community on Feb. 19, after the KSP received a call shortly after 6 p.m. advising of a possible animal attack on a child. Officers and personnel with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, Knott County Sheriff’s Office, Lifeguard Ambulance and Ball Creek Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
