Car Dealership Turned Medical Facility

What use to be a car dealership will soon be a medical facility instead. Pikeville Medical Center announced on Thursday that it recently purchased the former Music-Carter-Hughes Dealership from the City of Prestonsburg. PMC plans to build a medical outpatient facility for Floyd County. “Business is business and health care is an industry. We are really excited about having them come in here. We are not only going to have jobs which pay taxes but it’s going to bring people into town and it’s going to get people excited to come in town,” says Prestonsburg’s Mayor Les Stapleton. There is currently no date set for when the facility will open.
