Carter Caves State Resort Park Raises 00 for Carter Co. Schools
Kentucky officials say Carter Caves State Resort Park raised about $6,600 and more than 600 non-perishable food items for 10 schools in Carter County.
The northeast Kentucky park asked guests to contribute food items during its Haunted Trail weekends in October. Participating guests received a discount in return.
Park Manager Chris Perry says the food and cash will help make sure students have food during weekends when they aren’t in school. Perry says the financial donations came from many sources throughout Carter County.
