Challenge To Real-ID’s
Kentucky lawmakers have been advancing legislation that would require voters to show a government-issued photo ID in order to cast a ballot, but a civil liberties group says it’s likely to mount a court challenge if the bill becomes law.The Republican-backed measure cleared a House committee on a party-line vote Thursday. Some supporters said they’re open to considering more changes when the bill reaches the full House.
