Church In Corbin Helps Take Away The Chill

A church in Corbin is waving a white flag to help people in need.First Baptist Church wants the community to know there will be a warm place for people to stay if they need it.Monday was the first night the church put out the white flag this year.The church puts the flag out when temperatures are expected to drop below 29 degrees.Inside the church, people can find a warm place to stay with a warm meal, clothes and toiletries.This is the second year for the program.Last year the church says they opened their doors for about 60 nights and raised $60,000 for the program.
