City Of Irvine Receives Grants

Congressman Andy Barr (KY-06) has joined the City of Irvine Fire Department and other state officials to announce the awarding of two grants to be used by the fire department to better serve the residents of Estill County. The City of Irvine Fire Department has been awarded a $27,500 grant through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Community and Facilities Loans and Grant Program to purchase a new fire engine, and a $31,000 Kentucky Office of Homeland Security grant to be used to purchase new vehicle extrication equipment.
