Clean-Up Day Planned In Martin County

Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR) and the Martin County Kiwanis Club are coordinating a Community Cleanup and Celebration for Saturday, June 8.The Cleanup will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. throughout the county, and participants along with the general public are invited to a Community Celebration at the Roy F. Collier Community Center at 1 p.m. The Celebration will feature free entertainment as well as food and refreshments.“There is a movement occurring in Martin County, and it is one of unity and collaboration,” said Joshua Ball, associate executive director. Ball is from Martin County and attended Sheldon Clark High School. Registration for the clean-up can be found at there is a future.org.
