Corbin Church Fire

Crews responded to a call early Monday morning of a reported church fire on Moore Hill Avenue. The church building was abandoned. Lily Fire & Rescue, West Knox Fire Rescue, Bailey Switch Fire Department, Corbin City Fire Department and Keavy Fire Department helped to put out the fire. No injuries were reported. A state police arson investigator is looking into the cause of the fire. Neighbors believe someone set it. It is not the first time the empty building has caught fire. A neighbor had plans to convert the empty building into a place to help feed the community.
