Corbin Independent Schools Receives Mental Health Grant

Faculty and staff of Corbin Independent schools recently announced that they were awarded a grant to provide additional counselors in the their school system.The news comes with the announcement of an additional grant to upgrade school safety. Assistant Superintendent Cindy Davis says the new staff will help students during the school day.”Those are the services that really get in there and work with our students and help our students which provides a safe place for them to be able to not only come to school for education but for those services as well,” says Davis.The district was one of 27 schools in the nation to receive the grant.
