Cordia School Closes

Earlier this year, the Knott County Board of Education voted to close Cordia School. After months of hashing out the problem in the courtroom, Cordia opened for the 2018-2019 school year. However, problems for the school are far from over.Cordia School officials said they are unable to stock their community food pantry or send students home with backpacks full of food because they do not have the money.The school typically feeds hundreds of families according to school officials.
