CVHD Reports Fifth COVID-19 Related Death

A fifth person has now died due to COVID-19 in the Cumberland Valley District Health Department.

Officials said Friday the patient was a 79-year old woman who was also a resident of Jackson Manor. The health department also confirmed a new COVID-19 case in Jackson County, however, this one was not related to the embattled nursing home.

Health officials also said two people – one in Jackson County, one in Rockcastle County, has recovered from coronavirus.
