Daniel Boone Wildfire Latest
There are several wildfires burning in the blaze in the Daniel Boone National Forest ranging in size from 25 to 500 acres. Officials say the first broke out several days ago on forest land west of the Rockcastle River. Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center Students who are training as firefighters got some on-the-job training as they joined crews on the ground. Those students will be deployed for two weeks. Officials warn people to be careful with outdoor activities that can spark a fire.
