Daughters Of The American Revolution Meet In KY

On Sunday, the Hindman Settlement School hosted more than 275 women from the National Society ‘The Daughters of the American Revolution’ for a school tour.The ‘Daughters of the American Revolution’ was founded in 1980. It is a lineage-based membership organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the United States’ efforts towards independence. They promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. More than 940-thousand women have joined the organization nationwide.
