Double-Digit Unemployment Disappears In KY

New state unemployment data shows none of Kentucky’s 120 counties are reporting 10 percent.Magoffin County has the highest unemployment rate in the state, but its rate has dropped to 9.9 percent.This is the first time since October 2000 Kentucky has had single-digit percentage unemployment for all its counties.One hundred and seven counties reported a decrease in unemployment while nine counties reported an increase. Most of the counties with the highest unemployment rates are in eastern Kentucky.Woodford County has the lowest unemployment rate at 2.5 percent.
