Eastern KY College Graduates New Nursing Class

One of the colleges in Eastern Kentucky working to fight the nursing shortage in our region is the Galen College of Nursing.Friday night at the Hal Rogers Forum in Hazard, about 20 students graduated from the Hazard campus.The school opened about two years ago. The class graduating Friday night is only the third group of students to do so.School officials say the school has grown tremendously in the short time it has been helping students reach their dreams.”We’ve now gone to ten full-time faculty, 12 part-time faculty, five support service folks, and we now have 350 students”, said Kelly Ramy, who is the Associate Program Director from the Hazard campus. “
