Eastern KY Doctor Pleads Guilty In Opioid Case

A former Eastern Kentucky doctor pleaded guilty to illegally operating a suboxone clinic in Lawrence County, Attorney General Andy Beshear and his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse announced Thursday.Curtis Edens, 59, formerly of Louisa, pleaded guilty on charges of five counts of theft by deception less than $500, two counts of devising or engaging in a scheme to defraud the Kentucky Medical Assitance Program $300 or more and one count of unlawful dispensing/prescribing/ administering of a controlled substance.
