Eastern KY Hunting Area Expands
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is working with private landowners to bring more public hunting opportunities to Eastern Kentucky.Hunting Access Area agreements with RH Group and Elk Horn Coal Company means the public will have hunting access to more than 35,000 acres in Floyd, Magoffin, Pike, McCreary, Letcher and Knott Counties.”Any time you can open up that much acreage at once it is a pretty great day,” said Gabe Jenkins the Deer and Elk Program Coordinator for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife.
