Eastern KY Team Competes And Wins A Problem-Solving Contest

Almost 900 teams from across the globe competed this past week at the 40th Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Lansing, Michigan.Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving program for students in kindergarten through college.This year, two Eastern Kentucky teams brought home exceptional honors.Both the college students on the Corbin Music Alumni Association team and the high school students on the team from Corbin High School chose to create a solution for a problem called “Leonardo’s Workshop,” for which students had to re-create 3 of Leonardo da Vinci’s artworks and present them in an 8-minute skit.The Corbin Music Alumni Association team tied with a team from China for 2nd place in their division.
