EKU Fires Head Football Coach Elder After Four Seasons

As the FBS football season comes to an end today, Eastern Kentucky University begins their offseason with a coaching search.

The Colonels fired head coach Mark Elder earlier this week after four seasons.

The Colonels finished the 2019 season 7-5 overall and 5-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference, coming in fourth place.

EKU missed out on the playoffs for the fifth season in a row and has not won a postseason game since 1994.
