Elkhorn Veteran Finds An Outlet In Painting
A veteran who recently made Elkhorn City his home is using art to escape his post-traumatic stress disorder.Paul Burress was an Air Force crew chief for six years. After his military days, he worked for signs companies and grew his deep-seated love for art.He said the art allows him to escape his PTSD. His triggers, however, are not connected to his time in the military. He said he was raised in unsafe areas and never felt at home.Some of his most recent work is being sold at Bob’s Sporting Goods and RFG Society.
