Kentucky officials have declared an environmental emergency to help with the cleanup of a creek where concrete waste was dumped.Division of Waste Management Director Jon Maybiar tells news outlets it’s believed 225,000 gallons of slurry went into Blue Lick Creek in Bullitt County.The waste was from a paving and repair project in Louisville.Maybriar says declaring a state of emergency provides time, employees and money to oversee the cleanup and doesn’t indicate any danger to the public.
