Equifax Settles Lawsuit Affecting Kentuckians

Equifax will pay up to $700 million to settle with the Federal Trade Commission and others over a 2017 data breach that exposed Social Security numbers and other private information of nearly 150 million people.Attorney General Andy Beshear made the announcement Monday.“Our top priority was to make sure the nearly 1.9 million Kentuckians who had their personal data exposed in this breach have access to the Consumer Restitution Fund and extended credit monitoring services,” says Beshear.
