Family First Prevention Act in Kentucky
New federal legislation that took effect this week provides resources to help foster families before children are taken out of a home. The Family First Prevention Act became law on Tuesday and Kentucky is one of the first to get more help to families so they can get through rough spots before things get to the point where social workers have to intervene. The federal law gives states until 2021 to get their programs started.
