Field Fire Keeps Firefighters Busy

Firefighters responded quickly to a forest fire on Saturday afternoon. This fire took place in a large field near Jack Jones Road in Rowdy Low Gap.Officials say they believe the flames were reignited from a previous campfire the night before and that around 3 or 4 acres were damaged.”Everything is so thick and lush this summer since all the rain. It has a lot more of a fire load so we have to be more diligent in the fall to make sure we do not let things get out of hand. Even a few embers on a windy day could travel probably a half of mile,” explains Assistant Chief of Lost Creek Fire Department Stephen Argonis.
