Fire Destroys Home In Perry County

A fire destroyed a home in Perry County on Monday afternoon.Officials say they received a call around 1 p.m. that a home was on fire at Shuckbean Hollow.When the Hazard Fire Department arrived the house was engulfed in flames.”What we’ve tried to do is just try to contain it to one area and try to keep the power lines from burning and trying to to keep the surrounding structures from catching on fire,” said Freddie Guffey from the Hazard Fire Department.There was no one in the house at the time.
