Former State Sen. John Douglas Hays Dies at 74

Former Kentucky State Senator John Douglas Hays has died.

The Pikeville native practiced law for nearly five decades, served in the Air Force and in a number of positions in Pike County government.

Visitation for Hays is Saturday night at 6 at the J.W. Call Funeral Home with services to follow.

John Douglas Hays was 74 years old.
