Former Williamsburg Pharmacist Sentenced in Opioid Distribution Case

A now ex-pharmacist from Wiliamsburg has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison for her role in the opioid crisis.

53-year old Kimberly Jones was sentenced by a US District Judge on Thursday. Jones was the owner and operator of Kim’s Hometown Pharmacy in Williamsburg from 2008-2018.

At her trial, prosecutors said Jones “repeatedly filled prescriptions for significant quantities of Oxycodone and other controlled substances from a variety of out-of-state doctors,” in addition to frequently dispensing controlled substances to patients without prescriptions.
