Getting Kids In Floyd County To Read

Kids in Floyd County are encouraged to read with the Floyd County Library’s “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” campaign.The libraries created an incentives program that rewards kids, up to age five, for reading books before they enter the school system.The program keeps track of books read by kids, rewarding them for every 100 books they read. Once someone reads 1,000 books, they are rewarded with books of their own to further promote the mission.
