Gov. Beshear Hands Out Grants to Four Eastern KY Communities

Gov. Andy Beshear visited four Eastern Kentucky communities to present various grants on Friday.

The governor awarded a $50,000 Recreational Trails Program grant to the Lawrence County Fiscal Court to add a handicapped-accessible playground and splash park at the Lawrence County Park.

$45,000 is headed to the Elliott County Fiscal Court to make improvements to Addison Field.

A pair of grants were given out to the Clyde A. Thomas Regional Airport in Morehead. Those will be used for runway pavement reconstruction and to replace runway and taxiway lighting systems.
