Governor Announces Funding For Road Projects

Governor Matt Bevin made several funding announcements in the region on Saturday.One of those was in Harlan County.$326,189 in discretionary funding will pave eight different roads,$223,189 will be used for six roads in the county. Those roads are: Cawood Branch Road, Morris Lane, Salt Trace Branch Road, Reuben Branch Road, Grays Branch Road and Daniel Mountain Road.$103,000 will go to resurface River Street and Central Street in the city of Harlan.Governor Bevin then traveled to Letcher County to announce more discretionary funding.The county was awarded $320,776 for slide repairs and resurfacing for various roadways.
