Governor Bevin To Speak On Sanctuary Cities

Governor Matt Bevin is expected to make an announcement in Lexington regarding sanctuary city policies.He will join state lawmakers, law enforcement officials and representatives from the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.A ‘sanctuary city’ is a city were municipal laws tend to protect undocumented immigrants from deportation or prosecution. The announcement is set for 1 p.m. Friday at the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police on Duval Street.
