Gubernatorial Inauguration Preparations

With Governor-Elect Andy Beshear being sworn in on Tuesday, the city of Frankfort has been making sure the stage is set for the latest transfer of power in the Commonwealth.Beshear has said in the past that he wanted this year’s events to be more accessible to the general public. This move is something Kenny Bishop, the Program Coordinator of Inauguration, noted was a major change.His team spent the weekend testing equipment, building platforms, and generally making sure that Frankfort will be ready for Tuesday’s historic inauguration.
