Harlan County Celebrates Milestone Birthday

Harlan County celebrates 200 years this year. Thursday, a festival celebrating the anniversary kicks off in downtown Harlan.There will be carnival rides, local music and a cake that feeds nearly 600 people.”We have so much history and we have so many colorful things to celebrate and we’ve just been so excited about this year and we invite everyone to come out and enjoy themselves this weekend,” said Brandon Pennington with Harlan County’s Tourism.
