Hazard Police to Look After Vacant Houses, Businesses Over Christmas

Residents of Hazard who are heading out of town this Christmas will have local police keeping an eye out on their houses or businesses.

Anyone who lets the police know ahead of time that they’re heading out of town will get a bit of extra security.

Police say they will do a walk around of the business or house and look for anything suspicious, like broken windows or doors.

Hazard Police is urging people not to post the request over social media, but rather to call.
