Hazard Stroke Survivor Center In Running For Award

Monday is World Stroke Day, and the Hazard Stroke Survivor and Caregiver Support Group is to win a national award. The support group was founded three years ago to raise awareness about strokes in rural Kentucky. This year, it was nominated for a Raising Awareness in Stroke Excellence (RAISE) Award by the National Stroke Association. RAISE Award nominees are individuals and groups from across the country who exceed at raising stroke awareness at a community level. Awards range from Most Creative to Most Impactful to Outstanding Support Group.
